Extended visit to Sweden this summer!

Good afternoon.

I have just got off the phone to my mom. She called SAS to change my booking for the trip to Sweden. I will now stay for 2 weeks instead of only one. It will be lovely.
I will have plenty of time to see my friends and hopefully enjoy the good Swedish summer weather.

One of my dearest friends is getting married and I'm so looking forward to it!
But I must say that I'm a bit nervous being a "bit big" during the scorching summer months. And I aslo hope that the flying will be ok for me.

In June me and Mr. T are heading to Portugal so that will be a bit of a warm up for the flight over to Sweden a month later.

It will be sad and lonely to leave Mr. T behind in Dublin but we've been apart before so we'll survive a few days without cuddles (but only just..).
Maybe he can seize the opportunity to go out and have a few pints with this mates before he's stuck at home with me and baby forever.. :) ha,ha...

Take Care and love each other..

It's not a mole...it our beloved baby!!

Hi all..

I'm so happy that I'm about to burst!
I and Mr. T went to the clinic this morning to have the scan. I was soooo nervous that the baby would turn out to be a mole or for real only in my imagination but it wasn't.
It's a little cute baby and we could hear it's little fast heartbeats..
I squeezed Mr. T's hand as we listen to the heartbeats.
I asked the doctor if it sounded ok and he said the heartbeat was just perfect and looked pleased.
It was so amazing!

I also asked him about the sex of the baby but the doctor said that it was too early to tell.
That's a bit odd coz I've read that you can tell after week 16 and I'm in week 16,5 according to the doctor...

Well, it doesn't matter really, it was more out of curiosity we wanted to know!

I just sent mom a text with the good news.
I actually thought I was less far gone but obviously not.. This is so wonderful..!
The baby is expected to arrive the 9th of October.. Well, we'll see about that.
This means that he/she will be a Libra, just like daddy!

Below is three pictures of the little miracle in Dublin!

Loads of love from a happy Jess!

Bumps and lumps...

Good evening.

Today it's football Wednesday, well at least for Mr. T.. Unfortunately the Chelsea bastards just scored so it's 1-0. But Liverpool will get back at them at Anfield if not sooner.

Life in Dublin in more or less like usual. Get up early, go to work, go home and go to sleep.
I'm not entirely happy about the situation but I tell myself that it's only for a while longer now.

Some has happened to my bump.. it just kicked in to a speed growth and now actually looks like I'm preggers. But in work I'm wearing a loose fitted shirt so if you're unaware of the bump you might just look at it as a fat belly... ha,ha... which is probably half the truth anyway.. :)

On Friday me and Mr. T will go to the clinic for the first scan and hopefully see the little miracle that's growing inside.
I'm so excited but at the same time really scared that it might be something wrong and that the nurse will give us some bad news.. Silly me.. . I know need to stay positive.
Mr. T is very positive though and reassures me that it all will be okay. I reckon he will be having a lot of chats to the growing bump from now on too.

In work things are pretty stressful which I don’t like a bit. I feel stressed almost 24/7 and that is probably not very good for the baby.

I talked to my mom on the phone today. She had a breast reduction two days ago and was now home again from the hospital and felt very well.
I can't wait until she can come over for a visit again.
She's probably just as excited as we are about this baby thing.
Think all my close friends are in fact. They all know the "full story" of baby desire and things.
I just want to say to you girls that I miss you like hell and wish that time flies so that I can come to Sweden to see you! Love you!

Now it's time to relax with a baby magazine in the bed before it's lights off for a night of pleasant (I hope!) dreams!

Love
Jess

The little life within...

Good evening everybody.

It's Thursday evening and I can’t wait until the weekend.
To be able too sleep for as long as I want is one of my favorite things these days.
Even though I usually wake up at 7 in the morning during the weekend, but still you have the option for a lay in if you want to...

With "things" being as they are I'd better try to get all the sleep I can before the house is going to be turned upside down with baby screams and stinkin' diapers! :)

I still haven't managed to get an ultrasound scan so I'm still not sure how far gone I am.
The last two weeks things have been quiet in the tummy area.
Got a bit of a scare that I might have imagined the whole pregnancy thing and this made me desperately google the Internet for clues for this sudden calmness.

I found a page where it said that after week 12-13 you might get into the "spooky" phase.
Spooky as in the normal pregnancy symptoms disappearing and you feel like "normal" and might start to wonder if you really are pregnant.

I hope I’m in this phase.

On my way home tonight I went by the chemist and bought my 4th pack of 2 pregnancy tests. I know it’s mad but seeing that second pregnancy line appearing on the test made me calm again.

Moving on to another big subject in my life…...our new gaff.
Today the blinds was installed, well not all of them as the guy apparently had miscalculated the length of one of them. Dunno how he managed that, as the measurements are all the same, but he did.
Anyway, he’s coming back tomorrow to sort that out.

I will hopefully update this blog a bit more frequent now that I feel like I have something to write about.

Take care,
Jess

A new beginning in Dublin..

Hi all.

It's been a looong loong time since I wrote something in my blog.
The reason for this is that our cable TV and Internet connection been cut off for some time.
And when we reported this to NTL they couldn't send out a repairman until 2 weeks later.
Anyway, got it all sorted and got the ordered 6MB speed instead of the measly 1 MB that we had before. Think it had something to do with the phone station being upgraded or summat like that.

Things are slotting into places in our new apartment. The kitchen is almost done. A guy from the kitchen company will call by this afternoon to finish hanging the doors on the fridge/freezer.
The new washing machine works great and I ran the first wash last night.

The tiles for the bathroom are bought so the tiler needs to be contacted. Then we also have to buy the tiles for the kitchen. I couldn’t find any nice ones that I wanted before so more shopping is to be done.

Then the "blinds" people will call by this afternoon to take measurements of all the windows.
We want oak Venetian blinds. It will be great I reckon.

And now I think it's about time I reveal the big secret...*TA DA*

We're going to have a BABY!!
We're over the moon. We found out the 22nd of March so it's all pretty new. I have not yet visited the hospital to find out how far gone I am but will hopefully do that next week.

It might be early to announce but we're so happy and can't wait to tell the world.

Have a nice day and a brilliant Easter!

Hugs from
Jess
