Min lille nallebjörn! :D

Hej.

Jag tror att jag ska börja skriva på svenska för jag tror inte att det är någon som läser min blogg som inte är Svensk.. Eller har jag fel?

Is there any point in continuing wrinting this blog in English? Do I have any readers who cannot understand Swedish? Let yourself be known in that case... :D

Här kommer i a f några söta bilder tagna på lillen idag när vi var ute och tog oss en liten fika.

Previous happenings in Sweden..

Good evening.

I thought it was about time to let you know what we got up to in Sweden.

Now when we're safe and sound back home again I finally found some time to check the pictures that was taken during our vacation up north.
Anyway, I can start by saying that the flights, both there and home, was an absolute bliss.
The little one slept through it all. *Phew*
Well, he was actually awake at the take off on the way home to Dublin but fell asleep shortly after. I reckon as this early age the pressure wont affect them. But I did hear a few cries from a few older kids on our way over.

We arrived at our final destination at around 7pm local time on Thursday evening.
Granny and granddad was of course there to pick us up at the airport.
We had sorted out everything beforehand so a friend had lent their car seat to us and another friend lent us their old pram. Perfect not to have to bring all those things over for only a week.
Me and Mr. T likes to travel light so we only had one big hold-all as checked in baggage. And the only hand luggage we carried was a changing bag and a little bag with extra nappies and stuff for Leon.

I sent out an email to my friends the previous week to let them know that when we were coming and that they were welcomed to my folks for cake on Saturday.
However, not everyone could make it on Saturday so I told them that of course they could come another day.
Well, all I can say is that is been a busy week BUT a nice one.
In total 43(!) persons, that's including the kids, passed our doorstep during the week to meet the little one!
The coffee-maker was constantly running and the two "smörgåstårtorna" was gone in a whiff.
Leon got loads of clothes so there's no need for clothes shopping in a good while!
And most of all he got bucket loads of attention.
He seemed to take most of it in his stride but the heat indoors when loads of people was visiting at one time was unbearable. I was constantly sweating. Not a good look. :)

On Monday after we arrived we headed into town to buy my folk a new computer.
Fun, fun and we also managed to buy loads of stuff for Leon. When I say WE, I actually mean my dad! It's great to go shopping with him... Ha,ha... He's such a sweetheart. Well, both my parents are of course.
Thanks to them we could have a few hours kip after "handing over" the little one in the morning.
How would ever think that you would be able to snooze until after noon as a new baby parent. :D

The week went way to fast and for the first time I actually felt like I'd like to stay longer...if not only for an extra week or so.
A week rushing through gatherings with people is not relaxing at all and the whole vacation becomes stressful.
I know it's probably not because of the stress but my eyes are f*ked up again!!
Must have been something I've eaten although I tried to be so careful. Bloody allergy!

Regarding news about Leon quite a few things have changed.
No more mittens! They came off the second day and his nails were cut very careful.
His cheeks are also fine due to constant moisturising with creme and the odd dab of cortisone.

Leon's bald on the top of his head! He had pretty bad cradle cap so a friend gave me a creme that would resolve it. And it did...to the expense of his hair!
But the
babyhair was to come off anyway (I was told later) and it's already growing back but I must admit that I was scared when I combed him and loads of hairs came off.

He's so much more awake now and giggle and "talks" a lot.
He has a tendency to say "eeoww" when you say Hello to him. It's like he's repeating what you're saying. It's so sweet to hear.
And he also says "eeiii" when you say Hi.

Well, of course he usually makes a lot of noises but it's fun when it sounds like real words.

Here are some pictures from the visit.

A quickie from Sweden..

Hello there!

Just a little hello from us here in Sweden. We're still alive.
Not long left before we're off back home again. :(

I really feel like I'd like to stay here a little bit longer but we'll be back again soon again.

Leon's charming the pants of everyone with his cute smile!

I'll be updating my blog with all the happenings when we're back home again.

When you love someone..

Good evening.

Sitting here thinking about how happy I am that we're soon going to Sweden.
When mum had left the flat felt so empty. She's a real gem my mum.
She was a bit sad, not only due to going home in itself, but also to go home to a "smashed up" garden.
See, the strangest things are happening these days to the weather.
The little village where my folks live was hit by a little tornado and a hailstorm.
Most of the house who had a plastic roof on their veranda got it damaged.
Below is a picture of what my folks plastic roof looked like.
The size of the hails were up to 4 cm (!) in diameter. That's a hell of a hurting hailstorm!

Looks like someone shot at it with a rifle

Just imagine being caught out in the storm. Ouch!

Anyway, the storm killed most of their vegetables that they've grown and loads of mums flowers were destroyed.
So as a thank you for her being here with us for two weeks and a bit of a cheering up I decided to send her a bunch of red roses and a chocolate box through Interflora.
I love to send them little surprises and Interflora is a great way.

She called me the day of the delivery, the day after she got home, and thanked me.
But it's me who wanted to thank her for being such a wonderful mother and grand mother.

Little Leon is growing so fast. It feels like he's developing in front of our eyes.
He's so aware and seem to have taken up the bad habit of watching soaps with us..ha,ha..

What a beautiful thing!

I'm a member of an online community called Familjeliv.
Here you can chat to other parents or parents to be or just different people regarding child related thing or other stuff.

Anyway, somehow I came across this woman who's an artist and I became very impressed by her work. She makes all kinds of different drawings and I decided to have a drawing made for Leon.

I asked her to include certain things such as a Swedish and an Irish flag but also to add an angel to represent baby Milo.

Below is what she made for me. Isn't is just lovely?!
It was sent by post to my folks in Sweden and I can't wait to have a look at it in real life but for now a photo of it will do.

Leon is a happy chap!

Granny has gone home.... :(

Good morning.

It's 11:09 here and we're just back from the airport after dropping mum off.
I miss her loads already but it's a comfort knowing that we'll see each other soon again in 2 weeks time.

And I have a little surprise for her as well when she gets home!
But I can't tell you more as I'm afraid my dad will read this and spoil the surprise...of course indeliberate. He has sometimes a habit of saying too much... :D Sorry dad!

Anyway, having mum here has been great. She's been with Leon so much that I feel a bit spooked being on ourselves again.
Just the luxury of having a daytime nap is invaluable.

Leon seem to have grown during the two weeks she's been here. He's laughing more and is so much more aware.
If we're standing in front of the mirror he then smiles and giggles as he sees himself and us in the reflection.
It just warms your heart to see.

As I'm typing this my little one's asleep in my arms. And his is daddy asleep in the bedroom. What are my boys like? ;D

Like father like son...

Good evening.

Today when me and mum was out and about I looked at my sleeping son in the pram and saw so many similarities to his father.
People are often so quick to point out how much he resembles me but what I think they base that on is only his dark hair.
Leon's skin tone is light, pink, as is his fathers. Mine is Asian yellow.
Leon's eyes are round with long curled lashes, just like his daddy.
His eye colour is dark blue greyish with the centre, closest to the pupil, a bit lighter. Mr. T ha the same but his are greenish with the centre of a mustardy colour...
My eyes are oval Asian with straight short lashes. Dark brown of course when my green lenses aren't in.
Leon's nose is a cute little button nose, just like his daddy had when he was a child. Mine is just plain awful. :)

Anyway..here's some pictures of us all.
Who do you think Leon really look like?
(Click on the pictures to see them in a proper size.)
